Tube light-painting photography With Kim Henry & Eric Paré - since 2015

What is Tube light-painting photography?

Some people say it’s an art form. Some people say it’s a technique. We say it’s a lifestyle. In a nutshell, I use a plastic tube in which I insert a flashlight. I set my camera to a 2-seconds exposure and I paint with light behind or around the subject.

How did we get started?

Back in 2012, I started to do light-painting using 24 cameras as an art experiment. Out of constraints, and over the course of 3 months of trial and errors, and mostly because I wanted to do stop-motion, I ended up reducing my exposure time to one second and that was the beginning of the story. 3 years later, while traveling with Kim, we found these long plastic tubes by a stroke of luck. This was the beginning of a long journey. We decided to share the technique right away. This is what this website is about <3
